Every Christian should have “The Sword” with them at all times. You cannot do warfare with the enemy without a weapon. Satan is out to bring you down, but you are properly prepared for war as Isaiah 54:17 says, “No weapon formed against YOU shall prosper.” Satan looses!
In I Samuel 21:9, David is running for his life. Saul is out to kill him. David had left so fast that he did not even have time to get his weapon. He was not prepared for war. He arrives at Ahimelech’s home. David asks Ahimelech, “Don’t you have a spear or a sword here? I haven’t brought my sword or any other weapon, because the king’s business was urgent.” The priest replies, “The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, is here; it is wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you want it, take it; there is no sword here but that one.”
David replied, “There is none like it; give it to me.” David was fearful, but when he took the sword in his hand, he knew there was not a giant too big that this sword could not conquer! Saul may have slain thousands, but David defeated tens of thousands.
The Lord has placed the “Sword” in your hand. It’s the “Word of the Lord.” There is not a giant too big that when the Word of the Lord is spoken, it will not come down. As David said, “There is none like it.” David left so fast, he forgot the most important thing to defend himself, the “Sword.” You, like David, can defeat “tens of thousands.” Take hold of the Sword, fight for your family, your finances, your health. The enemy must flee! As you wear your pin remember the calling that was placed on Deborah as a warrior, judge, mediator, songwriter, intercessor, and prophetess. We are Deborahs in these last days, the power in the Sword of the Lord, the spoken Word, the anointing that the Toronto Sword represents, giants that must come down with David’s Sword, and the Warfare Sword wars against the principalities. Tell the story of Deborah and Barak and how God choose them as leaders by His standards, not their own. The Sword is a prophetic symbol, a symbol of an anointing."
